How do you get cows to produce more milk while maintaining their quality of life? How do you develop a beautiful red tomato that also protects against cancer? With Applied Biology, you will be looking for the answers to such questions. In this bachelor programme you will study plants, animals, food and ecology to contribute to a better environment.

Curriculum

About the programme

If you are passionate about biology, you will feel right at home in the Bachelor’s programme Applied Biology. You will learn everything about animals, plants, environment and people, and about the influence of food. You don’t just study theory, but will also learn directly in practice. You will need to head outside for your assignments and projects and collect data at the greenhouse, the animal enclosures or in the field for your research. Each week you’ll be solving one problem taken from practice, together with your fellow students. You will develop yourself as well as contribute to a healthy, sustainable living environment for people, animals and plants.
