Are chemistry and biology your favourite subjects? In the Dutch-taught bachelor programme Environmental Innovation you use chemistry and biology to later advise companies on zero waste production, sparing raw materials and contribution to prosperity and a healthy environment.
About the programme
The courses are aimed at water, air, energy and soil. You'll learn about topics such as climate change, water supply around the world, soil contamination, energy supply and more. Also, topics such as environmental policies and environmental law are subjects you will learn about in your first year.
International perspective
Environmental issues require an international perspective. That's why you'll do traineeships both in and outside the Netherlands. The practically-oriented study programme Environmental Innovation shows you how to use different perspectives for shaping sustainability.
Admission Requirements
International students can apply for this and other Dutch-taught bachelor programmes if they have completed at least 6 years of secondary school and their diploma is an equivalent of the Dutch HAVO diploma. Once we have received your application, the level of your high school diploma will be evaluated by the International Office and the study advisor of the programme.

Job prospects
Graduates of Environmental Innovation are in high demand, especially in the Netherlands, but also in most of the rest of the world. Environmental management and protection are becoming ever-more important issues not only for governments but also for the private sector.
As an expert in these fields you have many (international) job prospects. In fact, many of the 4th year students of the Bachelor programme Environmental Innovation are recruited by their future employers even before they have officially received their diploma!
