The academic year of every study programme of HAS University of Applied Sciences will start at the end of August/beginning of September.

Your study schedule/time table
One academic year consists of 4 terms, of 10 weeks each. Your programme has a study load of app. 40 hours a week, of which app. 30% contact hours, 70% self-study/projects. An overview of the complete academic year and holidays can be found here.
The timetable differs per term and per week and will be published a week prior to the start of a new term. Usually, one day per week you have no classes scheduled, and you use these hours for self-study, working on group projects with your fellow students and/or go on excursions together.
Lectures, practicals, tutorials, project meetings and other classroom activities can be scheduled from 8h30 to 18h00 each day. This means you should be available for your studies app. 40 hours per week.
