Benjamin has completed the Horticulture & Business Management bachelor programme at HAS University of Applied Sciences and is currently working as a Young professional (trainee) Food & Agri at Rabobank.
Read his story below.
As an intern I have the chance to change from department every three months. I have gained experience as an account manager, as an analyst and as a project member.
My working days never look the same. Every week on Thursday we have a team meeting where everyone provides an update on the past week. Sometimes practical cases are discussed and together we define which factors are important to consider.
The combination of practice and theory and working in different departments. I manage projects and have the chance to work on personal development.
This Young professional programme is a great career start for me. I can learn a lot at Rabobank and I have the opportunity to get to know many different agricultural companies.
During my studies I tried to do as many different things as possible, to find what I like. For me variety in work is important and fun.
I have a positive feeling about the Horticulture and Business Management programme. The focus in the first and second year is on theory. This knowledge you can use well in the third and fourth year. I have learned many skills that I can apply now in my job.
