I do not have a DigiD, can I still apply via studielink?

Yes you can apply via studielink. On the website studielink you can choose the option on the right: “I do not live in the Netherlands”. You will then be able to log in with a username and password.

My application has been refused. How can I appeal?

If you disagree with the rejection of your registration request, you can send an appeal to the Examinations Appeal Board within 6 weeks of the date of the notification. To request details of the appeals procedure, send an email to studentzaken@has.nl.

What are the costs for a room in the Netherlands?

An average room in the Netherlands costs somewhere between €350 to €600 a month.

Does HAS University of Applied Sciences have on-campus accommodation?

HAS University of Applied Sciences does not have a campus, but does have a limited number of room available for 1st year international students in Den Bosch in apartments close to the University (within 2 km).

Does HAS University of Applied Sciences arrange a room for me?

Under certain circumstances, HAS University of Applied Sciences is able to help 1st year international students on English study programmes to find a room for the 1st year of their studies. Check the accommodation service section on our website.

How can I apply for a room?

After registration for a study programme, you will receive an email with more information on how to apply for accommodation. This email will be send to you at the beginning of May. If you are accepted after the beginning of May, you will receive this information at the same time as your Admission Letter.

How can I order my books?

Every year in June, the literature list is being updated for the coming school year. You can find the literature list on the pages for New students.

What are the entry requirements for International Food & Agribusiness?

The admission requirement for the 4-year English taught Bachelor programme International Food & Agribusiness is a secondary school diploma, equivalent to the Dutch HAVO diploma, with the final-year subjects Mathematics.

I think my Mathematics level is not high enough, can I still apply?

Yes, please apply for the study programme. The International Office will take care of verifying your previous diplomas and they will check if the level of Mathematics is sufficient to start your study at HAS University of Applied Sciences.

If your previous education is of the right level but your level of Mathematics is not, you have the opportunity to take a deficiency test.
